In the standard MT series, there are essential features:
Axes with linear motors for smooth, fast, precise and quiet positioning.
Rotary table axis with torque motor. Smoother, more precise, quieter rotation for greater longevity and less maintenance.
Multi-Tools electro-spindle with quick, direct, on-site grinding wheel change without considerable movement along the machine axes. The system, with HSK attachments, is always plugged into the head body, therefore protected from dirt, and does not require hatches for access to storage areas and grinding wheel change.
All units are liquid-cooled; the consequent thermal stability, combined with the significant compactness of the construction, are fundamental aids for the development of the design, which leads to a drastic reduction in measuring errors.
The standard configuration of the MT series allows grinding, in a single setup, various internal, external and flat surfaces. Customers can use a profiled grinding wheel to machine conical surfaces in linear axis interpolation; the smoothness of the linear motor axes optimises the result of all machining operations. All versions can equip the following options:
Double workpiece table for increased productivity.
Swivelling head unit.
Workpiece clamping systems of the following types: magnetic, vacuum, self-centring chuck, zero-point, pneumatic-hydraulic collets or other.
Workpiece loading/unloading robots or manipulator systems.
In-Process or Post-Process measuring systems.
Mist collector and filtration systems: dry, water and oil.
